Nestled at the base of Pritchard Hill in the storied St. Helena district of Napa Valley, Dakota Shy Winery represents the pinnacle of small-production winemaking. Founder and winemaker Tom Garrett began his journey in the 1990s helping his family make wine from their parcel of the famed To Kalon Vineyard alongside his cousin, Graham MacDonald, before refining his craft with Napa Valley icons such as Joseph Phelps and Robert Mondavi.
Today, Tom focuses on sourcing fruit from some of Napa Valley’s premier vineyard sites — particularly mountain vineyards — producing wines of remarkable depth, structure, and elegance rarely found beyond an allocation list.
On April 29th, join us at Butcher & Rose for a night in Napa Valley celebrating exceptional winemaking and culinary craftsmanship. Hosted by Winemaker Tom Garrett and Executive Chef Wayne Schumaker, the evening will feature five of Dakota Shy’s wines thoughtfully paired with five curated courses, each designed to highlight and complement the character of every pour.
